External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has said countries in the Indian Ocean region must evolve a common regional standard to promote intra-regional trade. Speaking at the International Conference on India and the Indian Ocean-Renewing the Maritime Trade and Civilisational Linkages in Bhubaneshwar Friday, Ms. Swaraj said that some mechanisms need to be evolved in the region to address the challenges and hindrances in the way of trade growth. The External Affairs Minister made it clear that India's foreign policy is focusing on Indian Ocean region.
