A remotely piloted aircraft of the Indian Navy on a routine surveillance mission crashed while taking off North of Naval airfield at Wellington Island near Kochi this morning. No damage to life or property is reported. Defence spokesperson informed that a Board of Inquiry is being constituted to investigate the cause of accident.
