Indian Navy's first training squadron reaches Sri Lanka

<span style="color: #222222;">Naval vessels of the Kochi based First Training Squadron on Sunday reached Sri Lanka as part of their overseas deployment for the 100th and 101st Integrated Officers Training Course. The vessels will remain in the island nation till the 28th of October.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Naval vessels INS Magar and Shardul arrived in Colombo, while INS Sujata, Tarangini, Sudarshini alongwith Indian Coast Guard vessel Vikram entered the Trincomalee harbour.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The ships will undertake bilateral training familiarisation and sail training capsules for the Sri Lankan Navy during the visit.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The vessels will also participate in a joint exercise (PASSEX) with ships of the Sri Lankan Navy prior to their departure for home.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The deployment is aimed to broaden the horizons of young officers and officer trainees by exposing them to the socio-political and maritime facets of different countries in the Indian Ocean Region.</span><br />
