The Indian Navy has thwarted a piracy attempt on a Liberian vessel in the Gulf of Aden. The swift operation involved marine commandos and an armed chopper. <br/><br/>The Navy's warship INS Sharda swung into action after it received a distress call from MV Lord Mountbatten around 4:45 PM yesterday. The warship is deployed in Gulf of Aden for anti-piracy mission. <br/><br/>Navy Spokesperson Captain DK Sharma said the operation was 41st such intervention by the Navy in the last eight-and-a-half years in the region.
