<span style="color: #222222;">An Offshore Sailing Regatta organised by the Indian Navy as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav was flagged off from Kochi to Goa this morning. The Flag Officer Commanding in Chief of the Southern Naval Command Vice Admiral A K Chawla flagged off the vessels from the Naval Jetty in Kochi.<br />'' <br />'' Six Naval Sailing Vessels, four 40 footers and two 56 footers, are participating in the event. The expedition is expected to be completed within five days, &nbsp;covering a distance of 360 nautical miles. The event is aimed at fostering the spirit of adventure and ocean sailing for the participating crew.<br />''<br />''One of the 56 footer vessels Mhadei, has done solo circumnavigation of the globe with Captain Dilip Donde in 2010 and Commander Abhilash Tomy in 2013. The other 56 footers, Tarini also completed a similar feat in 2017, with an all women crew.</span>
