Indian Navy display military might at International Fleet Review

The mastery of Indian Navy was at full display during the Operation Demonstration held in Visakhapatnam yesterday as part of the ongoing International Fleet Review.<br/>Thousands of people turned up at the Rama Krishna beach to witness the spectacular 30-minute long demonstration. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the chief guest for the occasion.<br/>The country's aircraft carriers INS Vikramaditya and INS Viraat passing at the sea, Flypast by naval helicopters Chetak and fighter jets, arrival of marine commandos in Gemini boats and an onshore mock attack left the viewers impressed. Helicopters landing on the ships, oil rig demolition, high-speed run by Immediate Support Vessels and the demonstrations involving hawk and sea harrier aircraft also captivated the people.<br/>The Operational Demonstration was followed by the International City Parade in Visakhapatnam after the sunset. In the parade marching contingents of Army, Air Force, Andhra Pradesh Police, NCC, foreign navies and marching bands from the three services and visiting countries participated along with the host, the Indian Navy. Each participating foreign navy also showcased its cultural heritage and marching under their respective national colours.
