Indian Navy conducting Operational Demonstration, International City Parade in Visakhapatnam

The Indian Navy is conducting today an Operational Demonstration which will be followed by International City Parade in Visakhapatnam this evening as part of the ongoing Fleet Review. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the chief guest for the occasion.<br/><br/>A sea of people gathered on the shores of RK Beach for an exhilarating 30 minute versatile and complex Operational Demonstration showcasing multidimensional operational tasks undertaken by various arms of the Indian Navy which captivated the audience. <br/><br/>High speed manoeuvres by frontline warships including launch / recovery of aircraft by the aircraft carriers Vikramaditya and Viraat, special operations by Marine Commandoes, breathtaking fly-past / airpower demonstrations by different types of aircraft, including helicopters, followed by a display of weapon firings by the ships and aircraft.<br/><br/>The operational demonstration will culminate with the release of a book on 'Maritime Heritage of India ' by the Prime Minister.
