Indian MPs seek early solution to the Tamil question in Srilanka

A delegation of MPs from Tamil Nadu today asked the Sri Lankan government to resettle displaced Tamils lodged in camps soon and sought an early political solution to the Tamil question. Addressing a gathering in Jaffna, the 10 member Indian parliamentary delegation said, a political solution is necessary to resolve the conflict which had lasted for more than 25 years. <br/><br/>Senior DMK leader T R Baalu, who is leading the delegation on a five day visit to Srilanka, said, the Sri Lankan and Indian Tamils have a strong bond, a relationship which is also reflected in the ties between the two countries.<br/><br/>Speaking at the gathering, Kanimozhi, daughter of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, said, the displaced people<br/>should be reunited with their families and there should be no travel restriction on the people.<br/><br/>During the visit to Jaffna the Tamil Nadu delegation also met Social Service Minister Douglas Devananda and the Northern Province Governor Major General Chandrasiri.<br/><br/>
