Indian men finished 11th at Chess Olympiad

In the 39th edition of the Chess Olympiad, Indian men have finished 11th. In the Eleventh and final round at Khanty Mansiysk in Russia, the men defeated Georgia by two and a half points to one and a half point in the 11th and final round. The Indians finished joint 11th and 18th overall after starting as the 19th seeds at the event. For the Indian eves, it was another heartbreak as they were beaten by United States by a minimal margin in the last round. A victory would have ensured a top eight finish for the women. Seeded eighth, the Indian women finished in a tie for the 15th spot and 17th overall. The Chess Olympiad has concluded on Sunday.
