Indian Markets close lower: Sensex down 0.21%, Nifty down 0.19%

The key domestic indices ended in the red amid mixed cues from the global share markets. The BSE Sensex fell 140 points, or 0.21 percent, to close at 65,155. The NSE Nifty lost 38 points, or 0.19 percent, to settle at 19,694.

In the forex market, the Indian rupee on Monday ended at 83 rupees and 35 paise against the US dollar.

In intra-day trading, the Gold in Multi Commodity Exchange for the December contract is trading at 60,645 rupees per 10 grams. Silver for the December contract was trading at 72,780 rupees per kg when reports last came in.

In the global oil market intra-day trade, Brent Crude is trading at 81 dollars and 12 cents per barrel and WTI Crude is trading at 76 dollars and 31 cents per barrel when reports last came in.
