Indian IT exporters shows resilience by surviving in difficult market conditions

The Indian IT exporters have shown their resilience by surviving in difficult market conditions. India's export of Computer Software and Services during 2012-13 is estimated to have registered a growth of 10.26 percent over the year 2011-12. The export of computer software and services during 2012-13 is estimated to have gone up to US$ 75 billion up from US$ 68 billion in 2011-12. Regional Director of Electronics and Software Council of India, Kamal Vachani told AIR that West Asia region is one of the most important markets for the Indian software exports and efforts are on to enhance the reach to the North Africa region through Dubai. He said that Indian exporters can expand their markets in this region with their innovation, quality and cost effectiveness. The Electronics and Software Export Promotion Council of India, ESC organizes India Soft exhibitions across the globe. It plays a major role in bringing the exporters, enterprenuers and distributors at one platform. The Council now intends to focus on roping in larger number of companies from the Middle East and North Africa region to increase the export basket of computer and software services to the region.
