Indian industry needs to increase its funding to education sector, says Special Advisor to PM

Special Advisor to the Prime Minister on Innovation Mr. Sam Pitroda today said that industry needs to increase its funding to the education sector in the country. This he said will enhance their own growth.

Addressing a seminar on Industries and Academia in New Delhi, Mr. Pitroda said that Industry has got huge boost after abolishing Licence raj.

Mr. Pitroda also said that universities across the country should be linked with the local industry clusters to facilitate research and development in them. He said that growth of the Information and Technology should be used to pass on the development to the lowest section of the society. Mr. Pitroda said that government is linking more than two lakh panchayats across the country with the administrative machinery with the optical fibre network for better exchange of information.
