Chemicals and Fertilizers Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda today said that the Indian industry has shown its role as a reliable supplier of drugs and medical devices in the times of needs. He was addressing the curtain raiser press conference on 6th edition of Annual Programme on Pharmaceuticals and Medical Device Sector in New Delhi.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''Mr Gowda said, the event will facilitate exchange of ideas, sensitise about new products and disruptive technologies and lead to the exploration of possibilities for enhancement of trade, investment and cooperation. Mr. Gowda said that as per United Nations Conference on Trade and Development report, globally last year there was a decline in FDI of 42 per cent while India was one of the only two countries to see positive FDI growth.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''He said, the four-day edition of 'India Pharma and India Medical Device-2021' will be held on 25th and 26th of this month and 1st and 2nd march in New Delhi. For the first time in this annual programme, a unique component of providing a forum to global investors through a global investors meet has been launched.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Minister of State Mansukh Mandaviya, Secretary Department of Pharmaceuticals S. Aparna and Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Invest India Deepak Bagla were present on the occasion.</span><br />
