An Indian Industrial delegation arrives on a five day visit to Muscat today to explore the opportunities for new business and industrial collaboration with Omani counterparts.The visit has been organized by the Embassy of India in Oman to strengthen the economic ties between India and the Sultanate of Oman.Indian ambassador to Oman, J.S.Mukul told that the visit would give a boost to bilateral trade between India and Oman which was around US $5.1 Billion in 2010-11. India and Oman are strategic partners. The 10-member Confederation of Indian Industries, CII delegation will hold Business meets with Omani Chambers of Commerce representatives and leading Omani investors. The delegation is led by KKM Kutty, the CMD of the South West Group of Companies. It consists of leading industry representatives from various sectors including agri -equipment/tractors, financial & consultancy, infrastructure, automobile, marine and oil field applications, chemicals & fertilizers; desalination plants, oil & gas, construction, IT & enables services (ITES) etc.
