Indian hopes in the Rolland Garros depend only on the Sixth Seed Somdev Devvarman after Prakash Amritraj crashed out of the Qualifier round of the tournament. US based Indian Prakash Amritraj lost in the first round to Brazilian Joano Souza. The unseeded Indian had the advantage after winning the first set but the 17th seed Souza onTuesday shut the door on him with a 4-6 6-2 8-6 triumph in the opening round of the clay court Major's qualifying event. Earlier, Somdev Devvarman of India opened his campaign in French Open qualifying round beating Jiri Vanek of the Czech Republic in a hard fought three-set battle. The Indian ace won the match with 2-6, 6-2, 6-4 in little more than two hours. 109th ranked Somdev progressed to the second round of the clay court Grand Slam's qualifiers, where he takes on Daniel King-Turner of New Zealand, who defeated Australian Chris Guccione in straight sets by 6-3, 6-3 in his opening round encounter.
