Indian hockey team go down fighting against Australia; Two match-series ends 1-1

Indian men's hockey team went down to Australia 3-4 in the second and final game of the two-match series today. The teams went into the final break, level at 3-3. Akashdeep Singh scored in the 6th minute to give India the lead. The other two goals came through V R Raghunath in the 22nd and 25th minutes. For Australia, Jeremy Hayward scored twice, while Tent Mitton and Jake Whetton accounted for the other two goals. The two-match series has now ended in a 1-1 draw. India had defeated Australia 3-2 in the first match yesterday.
