Indian Handicrafts and Gifts Fair from Oct 15

Central government is organising a handicraft exhibition to attract buyers from regions like Latin America, Central Asia and Africa.Craftsmen from all over the country will exhibit their eco-friendly products at a handicrafts fair along the Greater Noida Expressway, which will start from 15th of this month. The Indian Handicrafts and GiftsFair is a four-day event organised by the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts. Items made out of wood, metal, cane, silk, terracotta and vegetable dyes will be displayed under one roof .The Chairman of the Council Mr Arvind Vadhera told reporters in New Delhi on sunday that for this fair, Jammu & Kashmir and the North and Eastern Region have been selected as the theme pavilions to showcase the importance of products from these regions. He said the objective of the fair is to garner business from emerging markets and promote exports.
