Indian G20 YEA Delegation Explores Opportunities for Collaboration with Saudi Arabian Counterparts

A delegation led by CII and YoungIndia recently visited Riyadh from May 09-12 as part of engagements under the ongoing Indian G20 presidency. The visit was a prelude to the upcoming Young Entrepreneurs Alliance (YEA) Meet scheduled to take place next month.The delegation was hosted by Prince Fahad bin Mansour bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, President of the Saudi G20 Young Entrepreneurs Alliance (YEA), and engaged with prominent Saudi government authorities including PIF, ARAMCO, SABIC, and the Ministries of Investment and Communication and IT. Both sides discussed avenues to connect the fast-growing entrepreneurial and startup sectors of both nations. India, recognised as an IT hub of the world, has developed more than 100 unicorns and 80,000 startups in the last few years, while Saudi Arabia has also witnessed transformational changes with rapid digitization and fast-emerging IT industries.<br />''<br />''Ambassador of India to Saudi Arabia, Dr. Suhel Ajaz Khan, had an interactive discussion with the delegates and shared about the growing India-Saudi bilateral ties, highlighting the flourishing bilateral economic ties that have attained an approach to support entrepreneurs and startups.The delegation was also hosted for a gala dinner by Prince Fahad Al Saud.<br />''<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">India and Saudi Arabia signed the Strategic Partnership Council agreement in 2019, which is led by the Prime Ministers of both nations and has steered the partnership to transcend all sectors of cooperation. In the entrepreneurial sector, an MoU was signed last December between Monshaat and SIDBI to support the SME sector. A big delegation of around 45 companies had also visited Saudi Arabia to participate in the LEAP conference held in February this year.</span><br />
