The Indian football team reached Dhaka today to participate in the South Asian Football Federation championship. The team which ended up runners in the previous edition of the tournament are looking to win the Bangabandhu SAFF cup. India is playing in Group 'A' which includes defending champion Maldives, Afghanistan and Nepal. Hosts Bangladesh are in Group'D' with Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bhutan. The tournament will kick off on Friday, with the opening match between Sri Lanka and Pakistan. India will be playing its first match against Afghanistan on Saturday.
