The Indian Embassy in the US today opened a round the clock helpline for Indians in need of help in the wake of hurricane IRMA. The hotline number is 202-258-8819. Indian Ambassador to US Navtej Sarna said that Indian embassy keeps minute to minute watch on developments and in touch with community leaders of Florida. <br/><br/>He was talking to the news agency PTI after a review meeting on hurricane Irma preparedness. Mr Sarna has also decided to bolster strength of the Indian Consulate in Atlanta and Georgia as hurricane Irma expected to make landfall soon. The Indian Ambassador to the US said, the Consulate in Atlanta is fully prepared to assist any evacuees. He said that Indian embassy is also ensuring that emergency passport and visa services are available.
