Indian Embassy in Hanoi sets up grid connected solar energy generation plant

The Indian Embassy in Hanoi has set up a grid connected solar energy generation plant in its office building recently. The Indian Ambassador P. Harish told AIR correspondent in Hanoi that the plant was set up as per the wishes of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi to make Indian Missions abroad green. He said that Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation Technology have commercial applications and this step is a fulfillment of the directive of the Prime Minister. <br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports that the Indian embassy in Hanoi is the first to start this mission green, in abroad. It is an electricity grid connected solar power generating plant set up in the embassy. The energy not used would be automatically added in the power grid and the amount of this energy will deducted from the monthly bill. Now in the second phase all the bulbs and tube lights of the embassy would be replaced with the LED bulbs.
