Indian economy facing slowdown during past 5 years: Congress

<span style="color: #222222;">Congress today said Indian economy has been facing slowdown during the past five years. Briefing media in New Delhi, senior party leader P. Chidambaram said, there has been a consistent fall in quarterly growth of real GDP. He said, a large number of jobs were destroyed because of the wrong policies of the present government.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr. Chidambaram said, fresh investments have also been declining in the country. He said the poorest Indian have been the worst sufferers of the economic mismanagement by the Government. He said there is a steep decline in agriculture and service sectors.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr Chidambaram also said, the current account deficit has been rising from 0.6 to 1.9 per cent to 2.6 per cent. The former finance minister said, private consumption expenditure, government consumption expenditure and fixed investment rate have also come down.</span><br />''
