Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reach Pretoria tomorrow on second leg of his four African nations tour. During his first state visit to South Africa, Mr Modi will address Indian diaspora in Johannesburg tomorrow evening. Around ten thousand "Indian South Africans" and "admirers of India and its leader Narendra Modi" are enthusiastically waiting to give a warm welcome to him with a grand community reception 'South Africa Welcomes Modi' event. Mr Modi's address to the Community is important for India's efforts to engage and connect the diaspora in India's development.<br/><br/>Around thirteen Lakh Indian origin people are residing in South Africa which is the largest in the African continent and constitute around 2.5 percent of South African Population. The Indian diaspora has formed South Africa Welcomes Modi committee to organize the grand event. The welcome event in the Ticketpro Dome will also feature cultural items showcasing Indians and South African artists.<br/><br/>Mr Modi's scheduled Johannesburg address is the part of Indian drive to connect the Indian Diaspora world-wide for the development of the country. Engaging diaspora is an important part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's fast-track diplomacy. India is focusing on soft power diplomacy like yoga, cultural relations and connecting Non Residential Indians and People from Indian Origin besides economic and political trusts to emerge as a world leader.
