Indian Deaflympics contingent interacts with PM Modi in New Delhi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today interacted with the Indian Deaflympics contingent  at his residence in New Delhi .  India  recorded its best ever performance by winning 16 medals  including eight gold,one silver and seven bronze  at the Deaflympics held in Brazil.<br />''<br />''Interacting with the members of  Indian contingent,  Prime Minister Modi  lauded their stellar performance saying  their achievements are great and their passion indicates much higher glory for them in future.  He called upon them to maintain  this passion and enthusiasm as it  will open new avenues of India's  growth and a bright future will be ensured.<br />''<br />''The Prime Minister highlighted   that when a divyang excels at international sporting platforms, the achievement reverberates beyond sporting accomplishment.<br />''<br />''Interacting with Rohit Bhaker, senior member of the contingent, the Prime Minister discussed his way of dealing with the challenges and his way of assessing his opponents.  He also shared with the  Prime Minister about his background and inspiration for getting into sports and staying for so long at the highest level.<br />''<br />''Later in a tweet, Mr Modi said, he  will never forget the interaction with the  champions who have brought pride and glory for India at the Deaflympics. He said, the entire contingent has created history and brought smiles on the faces of every Indian. Prime Minister said, the athletes shared their experiences and he could see the passion and determination in them. He said, it  is due to our champions that this time's Deaflympics have been the best for India.<br />''<br />''Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Anurag Thakur and Minister of state for Youth Affairs and Sports Nisith Pramanik were also present on the occasion.<br />''The Deaflympics 2021 was held in Brazil from 1st to 15th of this month   and Team India had sent the biggest ever contingent this year. <br />
