Indian Davis Cup team confident of winning against Indonesia in forthcoming matches

The Indian Davis Cup team has expressed confidence of winning against Indonesia in the forthcoming matches. The Captain of the team S P Misra told media persons in Bangalore today that Indian team had beaten Indonesia on five occasions and members of Indian squad are geared up to perform well this time too.The team has arrived in Bangalore to practice for the Asia-Oceania Zone Group one play-off first round of the Davis Cup that will be played at KSLTA stadium in the city. Speaking about upcoming players such as Yuki Bhambri and Sanam Singh, he said they are in good form.Speaking about Somdev Devvarman and Doubles veteran Leander Paes, he said, they are sure to put up their best. During the press meet, Misra declared that it would be his last match as non-playing captain. He said it was a pleasant experience and honour to captain the Indian team.He hoped that his successor will carry on the good work by bringing laurels to the country. Speaking during the media interaction, Somdev said that the things are going well for him and he is looking forward to the match. Setting aside the team loss to South Korea, he expressed confidence that this time they are sure of doing well.Dwelling further on this point, he added that he has gained sufficient experience in world circuits, which he said, has helped sharpen his performance.
