The Indian Cultural Association in collaboration with Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre in Sri Lanka organised Diwali celebrations on Saturday. The event was graced by the Governor of Sri Lanka's Eastern province Senthil Thondaman. The event witnessed cultural performances that enthralled the audience. In addition, an animation on the relevance of Diwali and Ramayana was also displayed.<br />'' <br />''On the occasion, Mr. Thondaman announced that the eastern province would sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the Indian Cultural Association for organising Indian cultural events.
