Indian Cotton Textiles Show gets underway in Dubai

A two daylong Indian Cotton Textiles Show got underway in Dubai on Sunday. 10 leading textile manufacturers and exporters from India are among a host of participants from India showcasing a whole range of home textiles and home furnishings.These include cotton textiles, cotton yarn, cotton fabrics and cotton made ups among others. Consul General of India in Dubai, Anurag Bhushan inaugurated the show.He urged the exporters to come forward with innovative ideas and partnerships to enhance their exports and tap the markets in Dubai, UAE and gulf region.The Textiles Promotion Council of India said that with exports worth $40 million in 2013, Indian textile industry has left its mark in terms of quality and cost effectiveness and look forward to expand its base into the local markets in the gulf region.UAE textile industry is worth $13.2 billion and growing at the rate of nine percent per annum.Around 150 companies, brands and buyers are expected to attend the buyer seller meet organized by Textiles Promotion Council of India in collaboration with the India Trade Exhibition Center and the Consulate General of India in Dubai.
