The Sports Ministry has said, the Indian contingent will participate in the opening ceremony of the Rio Paralympics. It was reacting to media reports that the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) has raised serious issues about the kits of the Indian contingent. An official release said, the issues have been resolved. It said, IPC made some suggestions to India as well as many other countries after the inspection. Chef-de-Mission of the Indian contingent said, the inspection of uniforms and kits of the participating countries is a routine affair in such mega events.
