Indian construction major wins $211mn road contract in Yemen

Indian construction major, Punj Llyod has won a 211 million dollar road contract in Yemen. The company has received a Letter of Award for the construction of a 42 km, 2×3 lane dual carriageway project between Doraigh and Noubat Dokaim from the Yemenese Ministry of Public Works and Highways. The project, valued at 1,270 crore rupees is funded by Saudi Development Fund. It is located 60 kms from the port city of Aden. This is the first major expressway project for Punj Lloyd in the West Asia region. Punj Lloyd has already executed work on the off sites and utilities of the prestigious Yemen LNG project.
