Indian coast guard has helped rescue five Sri Lankan fishermen who had gone missing since 1st of this month. The rescued fishermen were handed over to Sri Lankan navy last night at the International maritime boundary. The fishermen had gone missing after their boat engine developed defect north of point pedro in Sri Lankan waters. <br/><br/>Indian coast guard had carried out a search and rescue operation and they were located in Indian waters. Meanwhile, efforts are on to put off the fire on container ship MSC Daniela off Sri Lankan coast. Two Indian navy ships, one coast guard ship and two chetak helicopters are assisting Sri Lankan navy in dousing the fire. The cause of fire is not known yet and the 21-member crew are reported to be safe.
