Indian cities going to be major area of concern for NDMA: Rijiju

Minister of State for Home, Kiren Rijiju said Indian cities are going to be major area of concern for National Disaster Management Authority. In his address at workshop organized by Nation Disaster Response Force in New Delhi Mr Rijiju said India is facing challenges in disaster management, at the same time it has its own strength.<br/><br/>Mr Rijiju released NDRF Manual and Standard Operating Procedure and launched National Database for Emergency Management. The Minister also presented medals to NDRF personnel for their extraordinary duty. Mr Rijiju informed that two additional battalions of NDRF have been sanctioned. One of them will be stationed in Varanasi and the other in Itanagar.
