Indian challenge in Hong Kong Super Series has ended

It was a bad day for Indian shuttlers as Saina Nehwal, Parupalli Kashyap and Ajay Jayaram lost in the second round of the Hong Kong Open Super Series Badminton today. Women's singles third seed Saina was defeated by China's Ling Wang 19-21, 15-21 in straight games to end her campaign at the Hong Kong Coliseum. In men's singles action, London Olympics quarter-finalist Parupalli Kashyap had to retire 9 minutes into his match against Indonesian Tommy Sugiarto when the score read 11-6 in favour of Sugiarto. World No.32 Ajay Jayaram also went out to World No.one Lee Chang Wei of Malaysia, 18-21, 19-21. It was also an end of the Indian challenge in the doubles events.
