Indian Boxers made a good start in Asian Youth Boxing Championship. On the opening day of the championship in Tehran, India's Naveen Kumar in the 81kg category edged past local favourite Bijan Khojaste 6-3 in the event's first round. Tied 1-1 in the first round, the Indian took a slender 3-2 lead in the next and dominated the last round to silence the home fans. The Championship features 125 Boxers from 20 countries in the age group of 17 to 18. India has sent a five-member squad for the tournament.
