The Indian blind cricket team met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his office in New Delhi today. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Modi said, the cricketers are not just sportsmen but an inspiration and role model to many. He congratulated the team, and clicked individual photographs with the cricketers. Social Justice and Empowerment Ministry handed over a cheque of two lakh rupees to each of the 17 cricketers, coach and assistant coach. The Indian Cricket team lifted the Cricket world cup for the blind for the second time this year, and retained their position as the World T 20 champions.
