Army Chief General Dalbir Singh today said Indian Army is ready to respond to any threat to nation's security. Briefing media in New Delhi, the Army Chief said a number of measures have been taken to expedite induction of modern military equipment. General Singh informed that a new Army design bureau is being set up to fast track technological progress and give boost to Make In India initiative.<br/><br/>Speaking on the Pathankot terrorist attack, the Army Chief said causing damage to security assets and hogging media limelight could have been the motive behind it.<br/><br/>Replying to a question on Pathankot terror attack General Singh denied that there was lack of coordination among the different agencies involved in the operation.<br/><br/>Army Chief also said NSG is the best force to deal with hostage situations.<br/><br/>On Pakistan's role in the attack, General Singh asserted that markings on medicines carried by them along with some of the equipment showed that they were from Pakistan.<br/><br/>The Army chief said security environment facing the nation is becoming more complex and dynamic and said at least 17 terror training camps continue to be active in Pakistani Occupied Kashmir compared to 42 earlier. He said some of the camps were shut down few years ago due to international pressure.
