Defence Minister Arun Jaitley today asserted that Indian armed forces are fully prepared to respond to any ceasefire violation. The Defence Minister's comments came through a Facebook post after his visit to border posts in Amritsar in Punjab.

He said ceasefire violations on LoC and international border are deliberate. Jaitley added that Pakistan and powers within that country do not want Indo-Pak ties to be normal.

During his visit to the International Border in Amritsar district, the Defence Minister motivated the troops and announced incentives for those deployed on the forward posts.
