Indian Ambassador to Nepal Manjeev Singh Puri laid the foundation stone for the proposed Pension Paying Office (PPO) at Butwal on September 4. <br/><br/>In his address highlighting the benefits of upcoming PPO Ambassador Puri said that this bond with the Ex-Servicemen contributes immensely to warmth and strength of India-Nepal relationship. Around 6000 Ex-Servicemen, family pensioners, civil dignitaries of Govt of Nepal and officials of Defence Wing, Embassy of India were also present on the occasion. <br/><br/>Pension Paying Office at Butwal will benefit approximate 45000 Indian Army Gorkha pensioners and family pensioners in the region, in addition to the already existing PPOs at Pokhara, Dharan and Kathmandu. It will go a long way in serving the 126000 Ex-Servicemen and family pensioners in Nepal.
