Indian Ambassador to Nepal lays foundation stone for 3 development projects

Indian Ambassador to Nepal Mr. Rakesh Sood on Tuesday laid foundation stone for three development projects in Dhanusha and Maohattari districts being built with India's assistance of 10.41 crore rupees under Nepal – India Economic Cooperation Programme.These included development of Rangbhumi Maidan at Janakpurdham at a cost of 3.65 crore rupees and Gangasagar and Dhanushsagar at a cost of 3.58 crore rupees, both in Dhanusha district. Ambassador Sood also laid the foundation stone of a building of Shree Mahendra Rastriya Higher Secondary School, Ramgopalpur, in Mahottari district being built with India's grant assistance of 3.18 crore rupees.Addressing the foundation laying ceremony, Indian Ambassador reaffirmed the importance of India-Nepal Cooperation Programme as a cornerstone of the overall relationship between the two countries, and expressed the hope that various developments projects being implemented under the Programme all over Nepal would help the people of Nepal in their stride towards peace and prosperity. These development projects have been undertaken in response to local needs and in partnership with the Government of Nepal.
