Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Rakesh Sood inaugurated the newly constructed building for Tansen Multiple Campus in Palpa District on Monday. Addressing the function Mr. Sood underlined the importance of the India-Nepal Co-operation Programme as a cornerstone in the relationship between the two countries. The three storied building and furniture have been built with a grant assistance of 1.95 crore rupees by Government of India under the India-Nepal- Economic Co-operation Programme. Established in 1991, Tansen Multiple Campus is an important centre for higher education in the district which falls in western development region. The new infrastructure will help in the creation of better facilities for over eight hundred students. According to a press release, India recognizes the importance of accelerating economic rehabilitation and development in Nepal. India-Nepal Economic Co-operation Programme has an outlayof 5,800 crore rupees with more than 390 large and small projects in education, health sectors and infrastructure development.
