<br/>Indian Ambassador to Nepal Mr. Rakesh Sood has inaugurated the recently constructed Dharmashala at Muktinath in District Mustang on Monday. It is built with Indian assistance of Three crore rupees under the India-Nepal Economic Cooperation Programme. The project has been implemented by the District Development Committee, Mustang. <br/> <br/>Considered as one of Nepal’s most sacred religious shrines and equally revered in India, Muktinath Temple is a symbol of age old cultural bonds between India and Nepal. <br/> <br/>According to a press release issued by the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu, Muktinath temple is of special importance for followers of Hindu and Buddhism and attracts a large number of tourists and pilgrims every day. <br/> <br/>The Dharamshala, with a capacity of 44 beds with separate space for meditation, reception, cafeteria and dining hall will provide a good quality and affordable accommodation for pilgrims and tourists visiting the temple. <br/> <br/>These development projects have been undertaken in response to local needs and in partnership with the Government of Nepal under India-Nepal Economic Cooperation Programme which has an outlay over 5700 crore rupees with more than 370 large and small infrastructure projects in different sectors completed or currently being implemented in all districts of Nepal. <br/> <br/>These projects reflect the India's commitment to work together with the people of Nepal in their stride towards peace and development. <br/>
