India would like to get access to Headley & Rana for interrogation for their role in Mumbai terror attacks

India said there are incriminating evidence about the role of David Coleman Headley and his accomplice Tahawwur Rana in the Mumbai terror attack. In reply to the media query, the Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao said that India would like to get "access" of this terror suspects for interrogation following the evidence. She was addressing the media accompanying the Prime Minister’s Moscow visit. This comment came a day after US authorities charged Headley with criminal conspiracy in the Mumbai attacks. Mrs. Rao said that there were lot off incriminating evidences about the role of Headley and Rana in planning the Mumbai attacks. Available evidence also suggested that some of the conspirators of Mumbai attack were from Pakistan.<br/> <br/>Mrs. Rao said many countries including Russia strongly support India's candidature for permanent UN Security Council seat. This comments came in the backdrop of Russia's strong backing to India for permanent member of the UN Security Council. She said India will also make a bid to become a non-permanent member at the UNSC next year and getting enough support from friends and partners. On the issue of climate change, Mrs. Rao said that Rusian President Medvedev and Dr. Singh have expressed consensus to ensure that the ongoing Copenhagen Summit had a successful outcome.<br/><br/> <br/><br/>
