President Pratibha Devisingh Patil has said India would cooperate with Infrastructure development programmes while keeping the primary focus on resource development and capacity building with Cambodia. Addressing the Indian Community at Phome Penh (Nom Phen) in Cambodia this evening, the President said India would continue to work for strengthening ties with Cambodia. Stating that India’s unwavering support in not only good times but also during difficult period was well known, the President has said both the countries have strived to regain old historic bonds. She has called upon the Indians in Cambodia to carry forward the values of civilisation which Mahatma Gandhi upheld and correct image of India be projected. Indian Ambassador in Cambodia Rajesh Kumar Sachdeva also attended on the occasion. Earlier, President has been accorded warm welcome at the Phome Penh International Airport in Cambodia. She will be on state visit for the next four days.
