India bagged four medals including its first gold at the 18th Asian Athletics Championship being held in China.In the Men's shot put, Om Prakash got India a gold medal by throwing 19.87 metres. 2005 champion in women's 400 metres race, India's Manjeet Kaur earned India a bronze by clocking 53.66 seconds.Another bronze came India's way when Chatholi Hamaza clocked 3 minutes 48.44 in Men's 1500 metres race.H M Jyothi brought a bronze for India in Women's 100 metres sprint and on way of doing so, she registered her personal best timing as well.Meanwhile, China continues to lead the points table with 21 medals with Japan following with 9 medals. China won six gold medals on the second day of the Championship.
