The first gold for India on the fourth day of the commonwealth games today was won by Vijay Kumar and Gurprit Singh in Men's 25 metres rapid fire pistol shooting setting a new Commonwealth Games record. They scored 1162 points bettering the earlier record of 1134 points set by Vijay Kumar and Pemba Tamang in 2006.
