India win three-Test series against Sri Lanka

India today won the three-Test series against Sri Lanka 1-nil after the final Test between the neighbours ended in a draw at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium in New Delhi. The visitors made 299 for the loss of 5 wickets on the fifth and final day today. Skipper Virat Kohli was adjudged Man of the Match and Man of the Series for his two double centuries.India had declared their second innings at 246 for 5, setting the target of 410 runs for Lankans. Chasing the target to level the series, Sri Lanka finished on 299 for 5 to secure their second draw of the series. Dhananjaya de Silva top-scored for the visitors with a defiant 119 before retiring hurt while for Indian side, Ravindra Jadeja finished with the figures of three for 81.
