India win the first Cricket test against West Indies

India beat West Indies in the first cricket Test with a comfortable 63-run victory, taking a 1-0 lead in the three-match Test series at Kingston yesterday. Chasing a victory target of 326, West Indies were all out for 262 in 68.2 overs. It was a clinical performance by the Indian bowlers with debutante Praveen Kumar taking three for 42 and ending with a six-wicket haul in his first Test match. Ishant Sharma also took 3 wickets, giving 81 runs. The second Test match will be held at Kensington Oval from the 28th.
