At Guwahati today, Virat Kohli's sparkling century helped India script a 40-run win against an injury-hit New Zealand in the opening Cricket One-Day International match. Chasing a challenging target of 277 at the Nehru Stadium, the visitors were all out for 236 in 45.2 overs. The Kiwi team did not include skipper Daniel Vettori and explosive opener Brendon McCullum due to back injuries. Earlier, put in to bat, the hosts were all out for 276 in 49 overs. Kohli hit his fourth One-Day century by making 105. The second match of the five-match series is slated for Wednesday at Jaipur.
