The Prime Minister has expressed confidence that India will quickly return to the high growth path of nine to ten percent. He was speaking at the first Global Advisory Council of Overseas Indians in New Delhi late last evening. AIR correspondent reports that Dr Manmohan Singh welcomed the suggestions and ideas put forth by the Council.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh will address the eighth edition of the Pravasi Bhartiya Divas today that began in New Delhi on Thursday.<br/><br/>Nearly 1,500 delegates from over 50 countries including top businessmen, economists, entrepreneurs and scientists are participating in the three-day event.<br/><br/>In an exclusive interview to AIR correspondent covering the event, the Minister for Overseas Affairs Mr. Vyalar Ravi said that government will take appropriate steps for the safety of properties belonging to people of Indian origin and non-residents.<br/><br/>
