India will continue to urge China to adopt congenial stance in interest of Indian students and that they facilitate an early return to China, says MEA

<span style="color: #222222;">India has been taking up the matter of China allowing return of Indian students on numerous occasions since restrictions were imposed due to COVID.<br />'' <br />'' In reply to a query, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said India has highlighted students' plight and how continuation of stringent restrictions were putting their academic careers in jeopardy.<br />'' <br />'' Dr Jaishankar had personally raised this issue when he met Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Dushanbe in September last year. He said till date, the Chinese side has not given any categorical response about the return of Indian students.<br />'' <br />''<br />''He added that India will continue to urge China to adopt a congenial stance in interest of Indian students and that they facilitate an early return to China.</span><br />
