<span style="color: #222222;">India is well prepared to provide sufficient water to every household during the ongoing COVID19 pandemic.&nbsp;Talking exclusively to All India Radio News, Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said domestic consumption of water has increased during the ongoing lockdown but it is being balanced as industry consumption has significantly decreased. He said, Center has asked states to ensure adequate supply of water to every household so that people can maintain their basic hygiene.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr. Shekhawat said the country has over five thousand reservoirs out of which 132 large reservoirs are being monitored by the Central government. He said, these big reservoirs have&nbsp; 56 percent&nbsp; more water right now as compared to last year. The Minister also asserted that the water crisis which some cities had to face last year, will not happen this year. The Minister also said the government is committed to provide&nbsp; piped drinking water to every household by 2024 and the work is on track in this regard.&nbsp;</span>
